We are nearly 5 months away from the 4th WHNCD 2018 on 27th July. With support of passionate friends like you, a total of 132 events were held in 65 cities of 43 countries to commemorate WHNCD! To see the detailed report -

The events comprised of activities such as Press conference, CMEs, rallies, street shows, awareness program, screening sessions etc. News Media showed tremendous response by giving impressive coverage and it consisted of TV shows, Radio interviews, news paper prints etc.

Let us make 4th WHNCD on 27th July a resounding success. Due to logistic reasons it is anticipated that some organizers may find it difficult to host the event on Wednesday, 27th July 2018. In such a situation WHNCD can be commemorated anytime in that week starting 23th July. It is however important to identify any such activity as "In recognition of the WHNCD 2018". To know more about WHNCD -

The WHNCD events can be hosted by government organizations, non-government of organizations, civil societies, medical societies, patient support groups, and medical care facilities, hospitals, medical schools, and cancer centers etc. It is preferable to involve newspaper and television media, NGOs and Government representatives in your programs. These are some of the options that can be taken up as part of your CME -
a. Educating the physicians on early diagnosis and current treatment paradigms,
b. Awareness programs for the general public.
c. Free screening for Head & Neck cancers.
d. Interaction with cancer survivors and their families.
e. Interaction with government and policy makers.
