ORLpedia - FRACS Notes for the trainees

20 November 2011  |   Attachment: ORLpedia Index.pages (109.02 KB)

Dear Colleagues

I would like to share with everyone a set of notes that I have been working on in order to help trainees with their part II exam preparation. During my own preparation, I found that the biggest challenge was to understand the curriculum well enough and to have an excellent filing system to remember everything in sufficient detail. To help me prepare well, I started a filing system, which closely followed the ORL modules set out by the examiners. In order to be able to access data readily and share these notes with others, I have labelled all the files alphabetically and numerically.
My aim was to have these notes accessible to all trainees, however I was not quite sure on how to achieve this; until recently. I came across "Drop Box" which is an excellent application. This allows you to have your information in the web space and in turn enables you to invite others to view your folders and share information. This application also allows others to edit the material.
My aim is to have all trainees' access and update, edit and use this information towards their preparation. I have already shared this with the trainees that I know, but I need your help to share this information with any trainees (especially junior trainees) under your guidance, who might find this information useful.
I have attached the index-user guideline and the vision statement. I will shortly send you an invitation to Drop Box; once you register I can send the sharing file across for you to see all the files. There three gigs of presentations in a filing system that follows the index. . I am happy for any trainee to contact me directly, in order to link them up. I have sorted most of the notes, I expect it be fully sorted by next week.

very best wishes,

Nalaka
