Christchurch Fellowships

CHRISTCHURCH PUBLIC HOSPITAL (1 POSITION)

Position description: The fellowship is tailored towards a subspecialty interest in Otology (In particular Neuro-otology with cochlear implantation, tertiary otology and skull base experience) or Head and Neck ablation surgery (all aspects of benign and malignant cases with local and regional flap repairs. Free flap reconstructions are performed by our plastic surgery colleagues).

There is a mix of fully supervised practice and independent “Junior Consultant” style practice.

The successful candidate also participates in the after-hours Registrar call.

A focus on research can be accommodated and there is an emphasis on teaching Medical Students and Junior Doctors.

Funded: Yes, Each position commences in July every year

To be eligible for this Fellowship, candidates must

a) have successfully completed training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery;

b) have English language skills sufficient to pass the IELTS English language test; and

c) be eligible for medical registration in New Zealand.
