Dunedin ENT Fellowship position (1 year) – commencement July / Aug each
year

The post is for 1 year and usually runs from July / August and is suitable for
trainees towards the end of their specialist surgical training in
Otolaryngology, Head Neck Surgery.
The fellowship post is a full time paid position and includes being first on
call (1 in 4 roster). Additional payment is made for any call back work. This
is a general ORL fellowship post and usually involves 3 x 4 month rotations
through combinations of Head & Neck, Rhinology, Otology, Paediatrics,
Laryngology working with 8 consultants based in Dunedin. This can be
modified to some degree depending on your sub-specialist interest and
service requirements. Operating sessions & clinics also occur in Invercargill
& Oamaru (2 to 3 hours away).
The service also deals with a large number of head & neck skin cancers.
The department is linked to the University of Otago Medical School and the
Fellow will have under & post graduate teaching commitments.
The successful applicant will have to be eligible for & gain temporary
registration with the New Zealand Medical Council. Further information is

In general: a primary medical degree or fellowship training in Australia, the
UK, Ireland, parts of Europe, Canada or the USA is required to be eligible
for registration.
