Commencing February 2015 - Fellow in Paediatric Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery (KidsENT)

Funding has become available to create a position as Fellow in Paediatric ENT with Children's Health Queensland based at the new Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in Brisbane commencing 2 February 2015 for 1 year.
Children's Health Queensland Hospital & Health Service is the provider of tertiary paediatric care for Queensland and Northern New South Wales. The Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in Brisbane opens 29 November 2014 and is the merging of the Royal Children's Hospital and Mater Children's Hospital into the one facility. The hospital provides 360 inpatient beds.
The ENT Unit comprises 15 Visiting Medical Officers and a Full Time Director.
A comprehensive Outpatient service is provided from a dedicated Departmental ENT OPD site within the hospital and there are close to 80 operating theatre sessions per month across the entire spectrum of advanced paediatric ENT.
Outpatient and operating experience offered to the Fellow can include cochlear implant surgery (& other implantable hearing devices), multidisciplinary microtia clinic, rhinology & skull base surgery service, tertiary airway management in neonates & children, tracheostomy care & management, combined cleft palate / VPI clinics, voice clinic, head and neck oncology, vascular anomalies clinics, and advanced general paediatric ENT.
The successful applicant will possess the FRACS or equivalent. Consideration will be given to Senior Registrars who have attained FRCS level.
